The short version
Your profile is public by design — that's the product. Everything else (your email, your password) stays private, we never touch your money, and we don't sell anything about you to anyone.
What we collect
Account data: your email address and a password (or a Google sign-in), used only to sign you in and send you account emails like confirmations and password resets.
Profile data you choose to publish: your handle, bio, avatar style, and the payment handles you add (Venmo username, Cashtag, and so on). This is the content of your public page.
What's public
Everything on your profile page — your handle, bio, avatar, and payment handles — is visible to anyone who opens your link. That is the entire point of payly, so only add payment handles you're comfortable sharing publicly. Your email address is never shown on your profile.
What we never do
- We never see, hold, or process money. Payments happen entirely inside Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, and the other apps you link.
- We don't sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We don't track you across other sites.
Cookies
We use cookies only to keep you signed in. No advertising or analytics cookies.
Who processes data for us
Payly runs on Supabase (database and authentication) and Vercel (hosting). Avatars are drawn on our own servers from your user ID with DiceBear, and QR codes are generated locally in your browser — no third party sees your links or who looks at them.
Deleting your data
Settings → Delete Account removes your account and profile immediately and permanently. There's no retention period and no backups of deleted profiles.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll note it here with a new effective date.
Who we are
payly is a product of Osian, Inc. Osian is the company behind this site and the iOS app, and the data controller for everything described on this page.
